Disaster Recovery

Electronic Vaulting / Archiving  is very different than back up services.

Data-Inns preserves every iteration in a non-rewriteable, non-erasable format per company policy. We utilize our online backup to encrypt data, and then transmit it to secure data vaults. Redundant fail-safe systems protect the data, and access is restricted to authenticated users. A clear record of access is maintained. During the electronic vaulting process, data is encrypted with 128-bit encryption, and all iterations of a document are serialized, not overwritten. All backups are immediately available 24/7, and the data can be preserved for an indefinite period.

Many organizations today do not have adequate disaster recovery (DR) protection for their applications.  In most cases, disaster recovery is perceived as too expensive, complex and unreliable for any but the most mission-critical applications.

SIMPLE AND RELIABLE DISASTER RECOVERY FOR ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS

Many organizations continue to depend on traditional tape technology for regular backup and recovery. But doing so can have significant business consequences, including:

High effort – Tape backup requires significant manual effort and intervention, which slows down operations and can introduce significant costs.

High cost – In addition to high operational costs, tape backup stores redundant data, which adds further capital and operational costs. IDC analysis shows an average payback of seven months for EMC next-generation disk backup solutions.

High risk – Failure to complete backups within windows introduces risk to business users and customers who depend on application availability. Also, shuttling tapes to and from off-site locations puts business-sensitive data at higher risk of being lost, stolen, or otherwise corrupted.

The Numbers Tell The DR Story

Many companies learn the hard way, how important Disaster Recovery is to IT and their businesses over all. Betting on never experiencing a service outage or a natural disaster is not a viable or practical choice. The stats tell the story.

43% of companies experiencing disasters never re-open, and 29% close within two years.

McGladrey and Pullen

93% of businesses that lost their data center for 10 days went bankrupt within one year.

National Archives & Records Administration

40% of all companies that experience a major disaster will go out of business if they cannot gain access to their data within 24 hours.

Gartner

Hardware or system failure accounts for 78% of all data loss

Human error accounts for 11% of all data loss

Software corruption account for 7% of all data loss.
